15 SIMPLE WAYS TO SHED POUNDS IN THE NEW YEAR

  1. Hydrate yourself. This point cannot be stressed enough.  Most people claim they drink enough water, but do they really?
  2. Reduce stress. Meditate or Pray 10 minutes a day.
  3. Limit alcohol consumption.
  4. Avoid Trans Fats. They are considered to be the worst dietary fat.
  5. Include these foods in your diet; broccoli, avocado, organic milled flaxseed, kiwifruit, salmon, oats, apples and dark chocolate.
  6. Divide your everyday meal portion by two for a couple weeks.
  7. Eliminate packaged food and only eat fresh.
  8. Juice fast for one day a week.
  9. Short term elimination of floury foods.
  10. If possible, take short walking breaks throughout the day.
  11. Limit the amount of meals eaten out.
  12. Two-thirds of your plate should be vegetables.
  13. Go gluten free. However, refrain from consuming large amounts of pre-packaged “gluten free” products.
